SHOP CAPABILITIES

Our shop uses a manual screen printing press capable of printing up to six spot colors per design. The maximum standard printable area is approximately 13 inches wide by 17 inches tall depending on garment type and artwork proportions. Sleeve prints, oversized prints, and other specialty placements may have smaller printable areas and are evaluated individually.

ARTWORK APPROVAL

Production begins only after written or electronic approval of the digital proof.
Approval confirms spelling, layout, placement, sizing, and colors are correct.
Once approved, Dark Holler Screen Printing Co. is not responsible for
errors in the approved proof.

DESIGN CHANGES AFTER APPROVAL

If changes are requested after approval, additional setup time or new screens may be required. Additional costs may apply, and once production begins, changes may no longer be possible.

ARTWORK FILES

Vector artwork (.AI, .EPS, or .PDF) is preferred.
Raster artwork should be at least 300 DPI at final size.
Low resolution or improperly prepared files may require cleanup charges.

DIGITAL PROOFS

Digital proofs are provided for layout reference. Colors and scale may appear different on screens than on finished garments.

COLOR MATCHING

Pantone references are used as a guide when provided.
Exact matches cannot always be guaranteed due to fabric color, ink behavior, and curing conditions.

REGISTRATION AND PLACEMENT

Slight variation between colors and placement may occur due to the manual printing process. Typical registration tolerance is around 1/32 to 1/16 inch and placement tolerance around 1/2 inch.

PRODUCTION VARIANCE

A small amount of spoilage can occur during printing. Final counts may vary slightly, typically within 2 to 3 percent of the ordered quantity.

GARMENT MANUFACTURING VARIANCE

Garments may vary slightly in sizing, stitching, seam alignment, texture, or dye lot consistency.

CUSTOMER SUPPLIED GARMENTS

When printing on garments provided by the customer, the shop cannot guarantee against damage during production.
It is recommended to provide 2 to 3 additional garments per design to account for potential spoilage.

DYE MIGRATION

Some polyester or poly blend garments can release dye during the curing process.
This may cause discoloration or color shifting, especially with light inks.
While preventative measures are used, results cannot be guaranteed.

SPECIALTY PRINTING

Certain printing techniques, including specialty inks, may require additional setup time, modified artwork, or longer curing processes.

TURNAROUND TIME

Standard turnaround is typically 7 to 14 business days after artwork approval
and once garments are in hand.

RUSH ORDERS

Rush production may be available depending on schedule and may
include additional fees.

ORDER MINIMUMS

A minimum order of approximately 25 pieces per design is generally required.

PAYMENT

A 50 percent nonrefundable deposit is required to begin production unless otherwise agreed.
